I love how accessible (and easier) it is becoming to be plantbased 💚.
We had a lovely visit to The Breakfast Club where I enjoyed a delicious Butternut Bubble 😋, made with Butternut Squash, potato and spinach with mushrooms, asparagus and avocado hollandaise. It was yummy! 💚. Thank you, Breakfast Club.
I used to have to settle for the vegetarian option in restaurants, with the request to remove the cheese, or use almond milk (much to the annoyance of some restaurants 🙈). Please note: Being Vegan and Vegetarian is not the same. Vegans do not eat ANY animal products, including milk, cheese, gelatine, eggs, etc. Vegetarians can eat cheese, milk, some dairy ice creams, and some, may even take supplements with fish oils (Cod Liver oils) or Sheep's wool, but they do not eat meat. Pescatarians eat fish and fish biproducts, but do not eat meat such as chicken, lamb, beef, pork etc, and SOME might even eat some dairy products.
All, with a balanced diet, will get more than enough protein, with the only exception being vegans who will need to supplement B12 either through B12 fortified foods and drinks, or with a B12 supplement.
Yet, yes, I do still get asked how we get enough protein. So I say, make Google your friend. Google 'plantbased protein', and watch how a new world of plants, seeds and nuts unfold to you, with exciting recipes and shakes to match! 💚😋💪🏾.
