Master the Art of Breathing and you Master the power of your Life

MASTER THE ART OF BREATHING AND YOU MASTER THE POWER OF YOUR LIFE Breathing: We all do it, we all know we need to do it, and most know the dangers of not doing, but do you really realize just how powerful and important your breathe is, and how crucial deep breathing is for your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, and success? From supporting our body to release energy from the foods we eat (metabolism), deposting oxygen into our bloodstream; allowing oxygen rich blood to support the heart in pumping blood around the body to support the cells; to fuelling the Brain! Yes, the Brain needs more oxygen than any other organ. Suffering from Brain fog, feeling overwhelmed, unable to concentrate, feeling anxious? Find yourself over analysing or quick to anger (left brain function), or becoming too emotional (right brain function)? Learn to balance the brain by properly drawing oxygen into the Brain for balance. Learn how to deeply and mindfully breathe, and reep the benefits. Alternate Nostril Breathing Alternate nostril breathing is used to strengthen the respiratory system, reduce stress, provide clarity of mind and help to soothe headaches. It strengthens the whole respiratory system. Below is a basic guide to initial practice (advanced sessions will involve exhalation being twice as long as the inhalation, helping to remove stale air and any waste products.) Cover and close the right nostril with your thumb and then exhale through the left nostril and then inhale to a count of 8. Close both nostrils and hold your breathe up to a count of 16. This may be difficult to begin with so reduce the length of the hold if necessary i.e. inhale for 8, hold for 8 and exhale for 8. (Build up gently and gradually for your own comfort). Keeping the left nostril close, release the right nostril and exhale for a count of 8. Keep the left nostril closed and then inhale through the right nostril for a count of 8. Once again, close both nostrils and retain the breath up to a count of 16. Release the left nostril and exhale to a count of 8 and this completes one round. Repeat 2 or 3 times. Keep the mind focused on your breathe. With that said, I am wishing you a blessed and productive day ahead; one that truly exceeds all expectations.
